Ventilation and Air-Conditioning II (FSI-IV2)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: doc. Ing. Bc. Jan Fišer, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
The course objective is to make students familiar with ventilation, exhaust, and air-conditioning systems as employed in residential buildings, catering, sport and health care facilities, workshops, transportation and agricultural related buildings. Economy and operation of ventilation and air-conditioning equipments will be discussed as well.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Students will made familiar with practical applications of ventilation and air-conditioning systems and their design, economy of air cooling and heat recovery of exhaust air. Students will learn how to design air-conditioning systems ait - water, kitchen ventilation and an air curtain.
Prerequisites:
Theoretical knowledge of ventilation and air-conditioning.
Course contents:
The course is concerned with the following topics: Application of ventilating, exhausting and air-conditioning equipment in civil, industrial, transport and agricultural buildings. Air-conditioning of vehicles and special applications.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
To meet the graded course-unit requirements students have to pass test in 13th week of the term.
