Production Management (FSI-HR2-K)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: Ing. Zdeňka Videcká, Ph.D.
Supervising institute: ÚST all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech
Aims of the course unit:
Specific goal offords information about potential and resources for next development of manufacturing, technologic infrastructure in the context of European integration process. We respect present technologic aspekts of production process with the focus on decreasing inputs of resources to the production processes in relation to the WCM in the context of globalization tendencies in the digital environment.
To gain knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies in terms of additive production (3D technology) and process technology in the field of automated production and production using IT technology.
.
Learning outcomes and competences:
Comprehensive knowledge of controlling of manufacturing process, its procedure and resource procurement.
Recognition system conception of manufacturing process, which is realizes general efforts of board of management.
Make students acquainted with analysis of goals and decisions of production and logistics management. Understanding manufacturing process as complicated process of activities with the focus on performance and their achieve and economic transformation of resources to the outputs, which have added value for customer. They are specific to the subject and curriculum.
Understand how to manage material flows and information flows using logistic concepts in terms of the status of production processes in the value chain .
Prerequisites:
Knowledge from the sphere of preparation new or innovated product-industrial engineering design of product; (construction and technology of product); management quality; management and marketing.
Knowledge of mathematical methods, including statistical is also necessary
Course contents:
The subject concentrates on the area of production process management in all kinds of industry. The main objective is to gain abilities in tactical, technical and organizational management, learn concepts, models and management techniques. Attetion is also devoted to the terminology and methodology of input, transformation and output elements of the production processes. Techniques of exploiting production resources in conditions of fast developing market relationships and the ways of economic utilization of labor force in production are introduced. Usage of engineering - industrial Engineering time link and production process for realization changes by acquiring of required outputs and efficiency.
Getting to know the practical methods of production management in the digital environment. Getting to know the practical methods of production management.
Teaching methods and criteria:
The subject is taught in the form of lectures which have the character of interpretation of the principles and theory of given discipline using current didactic means.
Laboratory exercises are focused on the practical handling of the material discussed at lectures in the laboratory using ICT products such as OR System, Microsoft Project and ARIS.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
Working and presentation of individual case study.
Examination is realized in written and oral form.
Written form of examination contains examples and basic theoretical knowledge from point of view of production manager.
At the same time it is also mandatory excursion in a manufacturing company.
Verbal form of examination is focused on complete theory from control of production. The student gains the ability of logical thinking.
For classification level E is necessary to process examples up to numerical formulation and minimum knowledge from theory too.
Minimum knowledge area had been specified on last lecture.
Controlled participation in lessons:
Especially laboratories and excursions exercises are compulsory.
Compensations for absences on compulsory education (exercises) will be necessary to realize by special compensation term, which will be identified by teacher. Visiting lectures is recommended, but necessary for working in the laboratory. Mandatory participation in the lecture is held by externalists from industrial practice
