Aims of the course unit: | ||||
The aim of the course is to survey current state of knowledge and to clearly formulate the technical problem solved in diploma thesis and to propose its conceptual solution. | ||||
Learning outcomes and competences: | ||||
Result of course will be elaboration of semestral project and its presentation. | ||||
Prerequisites: | ||||
The knowledge of findings from mechanics of solids and from machine design courses which is acquired during previous student`s education. | ||||
Course contents: | ||||
The course is focused on analysis of available information sources (articles, books, Internet, engineering works etc.), trend analysis and design of alternative soulution of technical problem solved in diploma thesis. | ||||

Creative work in ateliers. | ||||
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: | ||||
Graded course-unit credit requirements: active participation in lectures, development of semester work (report) with defined structure and range, containing variants of design concept, specification of materials, manufacturing processes and 3D model of arrangement of technical elements. Presentation summarizing the results of semester work. | ||||
Controlled participation in lessons: | ||||
Participation in tutorials is compulsory and checked. | ||||

Labs and studios | 1. Introduction to the course, objective of the course. 2. Presentation of the problems and aims of the diploma thesis, current state of diploma project solution. 3.-7. Work on semestral project. 8. Presentation of partial results of semestral work, discussion. 9.-10. Work on semestral project, preparation of presentation. 11.-12. Delivery of semestral project, presentation of semestral work. 13. Classification of students, course-unit credit. |
