Advanced Diagnostics of Technical Systems (FSI-9PDT)

Academic year 2020/2021
Supervisor: doc. Ing. Róbert Jankových, CSc.
Supervising institute: ÚVSSR all courses guaranted by this institute
Teaching language: Czech or English
Aims of the course unit:
The purpose of the subject is to provide the students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the diagnostics of technical systems.

Learning outcomes and competences:
In compliance with the description mentioned above, the students will benefit from large and complex knowledge of the diagnostics of technical systems, and they will be able to contribute to the solutions of different diagnostic problems in industrial mechanical and electrical engineering practice.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of high-school mathematics, physics and electrical engineering including the principal knowledge of the technical diagnostics is expected.

Course contents:
The subject deals with the advanced diagnostics of technical systems which are used in mechanical and power engineering practice. The subject is based on the theoretical principles of technical diagnostics, and moreover, it includes the modern and advanced approaches. Among them, the application of appropriate methods of diagnostic quantity analysis and the mathematical methods of diagnoses and classifications are involved. The content of subject is also focused on the detection and the localization of failures, that is, the modern and advanced diagnostic procedures and methods are presented.

Teaching methods and criteria:
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
The prescribed scope must be studied by the students to go in an examination. The examination consists of a written test, and the maximum scoring rate of this test is 100.
Controlled participation in lessons:
The subject consists of lectures and consultations, the students’ participation shall be checked.
