The subject is focused on a specific issue focused on the use of electronics and electric drives in automation. Attention is paid to AC power sources, passive electrical and electronic components, operational amplifiers and semiconductor converters. Considerable emphasis is placed on the area of ​​electric drives, where the student gets to know individual types, their properties and use.

Course curriculum:
    Lecture

  1. AC voltage source. Passive electrical elements.

  2. Semiconductor elements in electronic circuits.

  3. Operational amplifiers.

  4. Integrated circuits for digital technology.

  5. Basic semiconductor converters. Distribution. Rectifiers.

  6. Pulse converters. Inverters.

  7. Frequency converters. Microprocessor control systems.

  8. Definition of electric drive. Advantages and disadvantages. Types of powered work machines.

  9. Kinematics and mechanics of electric drives. Warming and energetics of electric drives.

  10. Drives with DC motors and permanent magnets. Regulated drives.

  11. Drives with universal single-phase commutators.

  12. Drives with asynchronous and synchronous motors.

  13. Special types of electric drives. Stepper motors. Linear motors. Mechanical components of electric drives.
