Looking back at this season of Formula Dragon 3

The students´ racing team TU Brno Racing completed this year's racing season at the event Formula Student Hungary which took place from 22 to 25 August 2013 in Hungary near Győr.

It was not only the last race in this season, but also the last one for many team members who have finished their studies at the Technical University of Brno this year.

The team leader Jiří Martinec evaluates the final ranking of Dragon 3 and parts from his team with these words: "The first feeling after the race was a huge disappointment, the race opening was excellent and we were heading for TOP10. All in all, we have made a giant step forward from the last season. For many of us it was the last race, so I would like to wish the team TU Brno Racing a lot of success in the future and thank all our partners and sponsors for their support and encouragement. "

Despite George Martinec´s disappointment, we congratulate the team on their result. The 19th place, right in the middle of the starting field, is a very good result.

We would also like to thank TU Brno Racing team for an excellent representation of the faculty at home and abroad throughout the year and we are already looking forward to cooperation in the new season.

The Formula Student called Dragon 3 is the third car designed and made by the team of students TU Brno Racing. Similarly to its predecessors Dragon 1 and Dragon 2, it is a joint activity of students coming from institutes and faculties of BUT. Their work is supervised by the management of the Institute of Automotive Engineering at FME BUT. Students cooperate with a number of industrial partners including Bosch Diesel in Jihlava. The development of a racing car enables students to enlarge their knowledge gained in studies by practical experience and teamwork. It also helps students to find a job with a number of industrial companies.

Every year the Formula Student participates in the competition Formula Student which is a European equivalent to the original American competition Formula SAE. It is a prestigious international competition of university teams composed of future engineers.
