Shock and impact mitigation by magnetorheological damper

Supervisor: doc. Ing. Ivan Mazůrek, CSc.
Specialist: Ing. Jakub Roupec, Ph.D.
Description:
The aim is to design and develop a magnetorheological damper for mitigation of strong shocks (explosion) and an appropriate control algorithm reacting extremely fast to change in energy. The control algorithm must be able to effectively solve a high difference in sprung mass, initial velocity of sprung mass and damper temperature, in order that the full stroke of damper is utilized for minimisation of force action during the deceleration. This thesis has an experimental character extending the possibility of application of magnetorheological damper in industry practise. The design of stand for shock and impact testing is included in this thesis.
