Description:
The aim is to clarify the behavior of substances affecting the friction in the wheel-rail contact, depending on the composition of the friction layer which is formed naturally on the surface of the contact bodies. This is an experimental work investigating the interaction of natural contaminants and other substances targeted to the wheel and rail contact.
